This policy describes how the Heartnote website works and how to contact us.
Personal song questionnaire
The questionnaire lets you enter the recipient's name, your relationship, the occasion, memories, and musical preferences. Answers are processed by JavaScript in the open page's memory. The website does not send them to a server, use localStorage or sessionStorage, or keep them after the page is reloaded. Your browser itself may save entered values according to your settings.
When you click “Download story .txt,” your browser creates a text file on your device. You decide where to keep this file and whom to send it to. Do not include sensitive information or other people's contact details in your story.
Email and phone inquiries
Email and phone links open the appropriate application on your device. The website does not send an email or make a call automatically. If you contact us, we will receive the information you share and use it to respond and discuss your inquiry. Your email or telephone service operates under its own terms.
To request access to information from correspondence, or to have it corrected or deleted, use the contact details below. How long correspondence is retained depends on the purpose of your inquiry and applicable obligations; you can ask for the specific period when contacting us.
Cookies, analytics, and external resources
The website code does not set cookies or connect to analytics systems, advertising pixels, external fonts, or third-party libraries. Music is synthesized directly in your browser after you click the play button. It does not use your microphone.
Technical requests
Your browser requests pages, styles, and scripts from the website's server. Clicking the main action also loads two local HTML dialog fragments; questionnaire answers are not included in these requests. The hosting server may process IP addresses, browser information, request times, and requested paths in technical logs. Whether these logs exist and how long they are kept depend on the hosting settings.
Your choices
You can browse the information sections without completing the questionnaire, close the dialogs, and choose not to send your story. To remove answers from the page's memory, reload the page or close the tab. You are responsible for deleting downloaded files from your device.
